List of birds of Tuvalu

This is a list of the bird species recorded in Tuvalu. The avifauna of Tuvalu include a total of 34 species, of which one has been introduced by humans and twelve are rare or accidental. Two species are globally threatened. Surveys have established thirteen breeding species, including nine species of seabirds.
The migrant species that have been confirmed in Tuvalu include nine species of seabirds, such as the black noddy (''Anous minutes'') or ''taketake'' (Tuvaluan); and eight species of shorebirds, including the globally threatened bristle-thighed curlew (''Numenius tahitiensis'').〔
Fualopa islet in the Funafuti Conservation Area hosts a breeding colony of black noddies (''Anous minutes'').
This list's taxonomic treatment (designation and sequence of orders, families and species) and nomenclature (common and scientific names) follow the conventions of ''The Clements Checklist of Birds of the World'', 5th edition. The family accounts at the beginning of each heading reflect this taxonomy, as do the species counts found in each family account. Introduced and accidental species are included in the total counts for Tuvalu.
The following tags have been used to highlight several categories. Not all species fall into one of these categories. Those that do not are commonly occurring native species.
* (A) Accidental - a species that rarely or accidentally occurs in Tuvalu
* (I) Introduced - a species introduced to Tuvalu as a consequence, direct or indirect, of human actions
